Public sharing

I have chosen to start using Blogger for my reflections. As yet I have not made it public, however, there is the opportunity to do so at a later date. So far I have found Blogger to be fairly easy to use, once I got started. I have been able to create 2 blogs and several posts under them.  I am going to attempt to reflect on each and every aspect, maybe even my notes. The idea been that I will become proficient at blogs and reflecting by the time I need to get them assessed.

The purpose of education

My understanding of the purpose of education is reflective in my classroom in the way that students can access a large variety of information both around the actual work and around the way that work is accessed, without ever asking me a question. I choose the posters and wall cover very carefully just for that reason. During lessons I offer several opportunities for any new learning to be put into practice as well as explaining any new skill that students pick up 'accidentally' so they have an understanding of what they know. I have also added more of the soft skills to all of my teaching, focusing on teamwork, collaboration, resilience so that I know they are developing skills that they will need later in life.
